If you haven’t seen or heard of the Japanese Reality show “Denpa Shonen,” you’re absolutely missing out.

This is Nasubi, he has been stuck in an apartment and is being forced to live off of prize winnings. He has been given a rack full of magazines, postcards, pens, and a radio. Also, they took away his clothes.
Understandably, this is what he becomes:

TMZ.com reported a while back that Christian Bale went a little insane on the set of Terminator 4 when the film’s Director of Photography Shane Hurlbut apparently fucked up a scene in which Bale was acting. This then led to a loud obscenity filled rant by Bale that the whole crew reportedly heard loud and clear. Some part of me was hoping the content of Bale’s bitch-fit would have something to do with Huey Lewis and the news and how Paul Allen should try getting a reservation at Dorsia’s now that he has an axe lodged in his skull, but as this newly released audio shows its a little less insane than that although not by much.

In the words of Bale himself, “Well, a guy who dresses up like a bat clearly has issues.”

Electronic Gaming Monthly and 1up.com has been sold by it’s parent company Ziff Davis Media to Hearst Publishing to go along with Hearst’s UGO portal. More than thirty of my favorite writers hav been laid off and the twenty year publication of EGM has come to an end. I have many issues of EGM and everyone has given me some measure of joy. I hope that everyone who was laid off can find another job in the gaming industry and if anyone from the former podcasts wants to hook up with us at jojevis.com we’d be more than happy to start talking.
Electronic Gaming Monthly- 1989-2009. You will be missed.

As seen on page Six

A strange, somewhat disturbing homage to tokusatsu (literally: “man fight man in rubber suits”)? Or viral marketing for Big Man Japan?
Scary enough to keep me entertained. Thank you, Johnichi, for showing me this.
